Final Conference of the Project “Paths of Inclusive Learning”
From October 16 to 18, the final conference of the AdaptED project was held in Belgrade under the symbolic title “Paths of Inclusive Learning”, with the aim of presenting the results achieved so far, exchanging experiences, and defining future steps for cooperation in this important field.
The first day of the conference, Thursday, October 16, was dedicated to the arrival of participants from Croatia and Slovenia. Accommodation in the hotel and the first informal exchanges provided an opportunity for introductions, networking, and creating a pleasant atmosphere before the official program began.
On Friday, October 17, at 11 a.m., in the conference hall of the Hotel Palas, the conference was officially opened by the program moderator Sofija Karalić from the Agency for Qualifications, who welcomed all participants, presented the agenda, and introduced the speakers. Prof. Dr. Časlav Mitrović, Director of the Agency for Qualifications, in his address emphasized the importance of creating educational programs that are accessible and adapted for people with motor disabilities. Prof. Dr. Ivana Sretenović from the Resource Center for Special Education gave the introductory remarks, highlighting the need for inclusion as the foundation of every sustainable education system.
This was followed by a presentation of the project itself – its objectives, activities, and results. Slađana Baralić from the Agency for Qualifications gave an overview of the project’s development, emphasizing the importance of an inclusive approach in shaping educational policies.
One of the most inspiring parts of the conference was the segment dedicated to partners and international cooperation. Participants had the opportunity to hear examples of good practice, including the experience of the partner organization Humana Nova presented by Karolina Kraljić, as well as the exchange of knowledge within the international network, presented by Prof. Dr. Stanko Blatnik from the IPAK Institute for Symbolic Analysis and Information Technologies.
After a short break, participants were introduced to the manual developed within the project. Milica Jelić Mariokov from the Agency for Qualifications and Višnja Majsec Sobota from Humana Nova presented the structure of the manual, highlighting the Universal Matrix as a useful tool for educators working with persons with disabilities.
In the following presentation, Prof. Dr. Stanko Blatnik discussed opportunities for future collaboration, as well as ways of disseminating the project’s results and materials – both at the national and regional levels. He particularly emphasized the importance of maintaining partnerships and developing new initiatives.
The conference officially concluded at 2 p.m. with words of gratitude delivered on behalf of the Agency for Qualifications by Milena Grbović. Participants were informed that the manual will be available in both printed and digital versions, and everyone was invited to stay in touch and take part in future initiatives.
Afterwards, participants continued their discussions over a joint lunch, where ideas, experiences, and potential future plans were exchanged in a relaxed atmosphere.
The final conference of the AdaptED project did not mark an end, but rather a new beginning – one where inclusion, cooperation, and shared learning are set as the foundations for future work in the field of adult education.

Second Partner Meeting in the AdaptED Project
From April 2 to April 4, 2025, the second partner meeting of the Erasmus+ project "Paths of Inclusive Learning: Adapting Adult Education Programs for Individuals with Acquired Motor Disabilities" (AdaptED) was held in Čakovec, Croatia. Representatives from institutions in three partner countries attended the meeting: the Qualifications Agency and the Resource Center for Special Education (Serbia), the Social Cooperative Humana Nova (Croatia), and the Institute for Symbolic Analysis and Development of Information Technologies – IPAK (Slovenia). The host of the meeting was Humana Nova, which provided excellent conditions for productive collaboration among the partners. The goal of the meeting was to exchange experiences and align activities related to the content of the manual and the development of the website that will support the implementation of assistive technologies in the educational system. Special attention was given to designing the structure of the manual, identifying key areas related to working methods and assistive technologies, and analyzing feedback from all participants. Recommendations for next steps were discussed, including a chapter with practical examples and additional materials that will be made available to the final users of the manual. Emphasis was also placed on coordinating the content and design of the website, which will be a key tool for disseminating information about assistive technologies and ensuring easier access for users. Participants explored possible next steps in implementation and plans for organizing informational meetings in Belgrade to reach a broader audience of project users. At the end of the meeting, the importance of continued collaboration among project partners was emphasized in order to successfully complete the project and create a lasting impact on education and inclusion.
First Partner Meeting in the AdaptED Project
